I thought it would be the perfect place for a bird to nest ...in the arm of Michelangelo's Moses, surrounded by roses. The nest is painted in gouache. I then set in the small vintage scrap art bird. Then collaged with vintage rose wallpaper and a French postage stamp.

This is a painted collage on an antique postcard from Paris. I painted the background with watercolor. The small nest is painted in gouache. I added a piece of an antique French document, money receipt stamp, leaves from antique wallpapers, and a scrap art bird.

Painted collage using vintage ephemera including: spider & beetle scrap art, a dandelion from a vintage card, and an Egyptian postage stamp. The background of the Egyptian postcard is painted with gouache and watercolor. The edge of the postcard is painted with gold leaf gouache. The spiderweb is drawn in with pencil, and the dewdrops are added with metallic pen.
